A wellbeing farm with something for everyone
Peaceful Pools Wellbeing Farm CIC is a community-focused farm near Lampeter in beautiful West Wales, bringing together animals, nature, meaningful experiences and wellbeing.
Come and experience Peaceful Pools for yourself
You don't need a referral or to be accessing one of our wellbeing programmes to enjoy Peaceful Pools.
Our public animal experiences are a huge part of what we do and give visitors the chance to get closer to some very special animals in a relaxed, friendly farm environment.
And there's another reason they're important.
Every experience booked with us helps support Peaceful Pools. Income from our public activities contributes towards caring for our animals, running the farm and enabling us to continue developing the community and wellbeing work at the heart of our CIC.
Today, we create opportunities for children, young people and adults to build confidence, develop skills, form connections and improve their wellbeing.
We are deliberately different from a traditional clinical setting. There are no intimidating waiting rooms here. Instead, there are fields, muddy boots, curious animals, practical jobs to get stuck into and space to simply be.
At Peaceful Pools, we meet people where they are and build from there — at their pace, in a way that is meaningful to them.
Whether you've always dreamed of getting up close to a Highland cow, fancy heading out with our beautiful Valais Blacknose sheep, or simply want to spend some quality time surrounded by animals, our pre-booked experiences are designed to be memorable, personal and a little different from your usual day out.
MORE THAN JUST A FARM EXPERIENCE
While our animal experiences bring many people through the gate, Peaceful Pools has grown into something much more.
What began with a simple understanding of how much animals and nature can help us slow down, connect and feel better has developed into a place where animals, nature, meaningful activity and professional support come together.
Because no two people are the same, we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We take time to understand each person's strengths, interests, needs and goals, tailoring activities and support around the individual. For one person that might mean caring for an animal, for another it could be growing something, learning a practical skill or simply finding the confidence to take that first step.
